SALVATION
God loves you! That’s right, YOU. It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past or even what you may be involved in right now, He loves you and wants the very best for you. How do we know that? God, Himself has told us so. The Bible says in the book of John chapter 3 verse 16; “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Now maybe you’re thinking we don’t know what you’ve done and that it’s so bad that God couldn’t possibility love you. That’s a lie the devil feeds all of us. The truth is found in the book of Romans chapter 5 verse 8; “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” God knows what we have done that was wrong. He knows what we’re doing that continues to be wrong and yet, because He loves us, even at our worst moments, He allowed Jesus to die for us. The Bible tells us in Romans chapter 3 verse 10 that “No one is righteous—not even one”. And why is that? Romans chapter 4 verse 23; “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
We’ve all heard it said that nobody is perfect, and that’s true, no one is. We have all sinned and deserve death. Death! Why death? Romans chapter 6 verse 23; “For the wages of sin is death…” That’s right, sin has a price tag, and that price is death. But God has provided the payment for that price so we don’t have to die in sin. The rest of that verse says, “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
You see, Jesus, the Son of God, was perfect. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Second Corinthians chapter 5 verse 21 says; “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” That means the price for YOUR sin has been paid and God is not holding any sin against you. The only thing that can stop you from becoming a child of God is you.
Even though the price for your sin has been paid and God loves you and wants you to be saved, it’s still all up to you. You can choose to continue to live in sin and die and go to hell. God is not going to force you to accept the gift of salvation that He offers and Jesus paid the price for. It’s your choice.
Romans chapter 10 verses 9 and 10 tells us if we will confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, then we will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
God is reaching out to YOU. He wants you to turn from your sin and become His child. You can choose right now to believe and ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior. If you’d like to do that, simply pray this prayer out loud:
Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on a cross to pay the price for my sins. I ask you now to forgive me of my sin and to be my Savior. Help me live for You each day for the rest of my life. I now confess that Jesus is Lord of my live and Satan no longer has rule over me. I am saved!
If you prayed this prayer, and believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and He died and rose again then you are saved! Please email us and let us know of your decision so we can rejoice with you.
God bless you as you begin your new life as a Christian.
